Good nutrition is essential for school-aged children as it plays a crucial role in their physical growth, cognitive development, academic performance, and overall well-being.


Here are my top six reasons why good nutrition is so important for your school-aged children:


1. Growth and development

Children are growing rapidly during school-age years, and proper nutrition is essential to support their physical growth and development. Essential nutrients such as protein, calcium, iron, and vitamins are required for healthy bone growth, muscle development, and overall physical health.


2. Cognitive function

Good nutrition is important for cognitive function and brain development. Nutrients like omega-3 fatty acids, iron zinc, vitamin B12, and folate are especially important for cognitive abilities, memory, concentration, and focus. A diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins can provide these essential nutrients.
